Student Essay Awards
We will be choosing several Student Essays on Liberty for cash awards. The actual number and amount will depend on how many members join, but we hope to make several awards of $500. Here is what you need to know to enter.
The student may choose any topic which relates to liberty. It could be about a current issue, or it could be historical, political or economic. It should make just a few important points simply and clearly.
We particularly encourage students to read The Law by Frederic Bastiat, which is included in the Pledge of Liberty Education Kit members will receive. This is one of the best works on liberty ever written, and it is full of ideas students and parents can discuss. We hope to choose some essays about this book for awards.
In addtion to looking for clarity and quality of writing and ideas, we will strive to select essays on a variety of topics, by students of different ages.
